J.L. Adkins was the officer that came out to the accident. I believe in respecting officers, however i believe that officers need to actually learn to respect those that they are to "serve and protect". officer adkins had a heck of a power trip thing going on. Rude, disrespectful and apparently said that I need "thicker skin" if he offended me. It isn't about whether I have "thick skin", it is a matter of cops being held accountable for the way they treat people. If they want respect for the authority that has been given to them, then they need to stop demanding it and earn it.

Trooper H.S.Cambell pulled me over and gave me a $130.00 for not moving over or slowing down for an emergency vehicle. He was in an unmarked SUV and did not have his emergency lights on. I was not a lone car on the interstate, it was very busy at 9:20 in the morning. Usually when an emergency vehicle is on the intestate everyone slows down, in this case it didn't happen. I was not speeding, I was going 55 MPh in a 60mph zone. I didn't see the black unmarked SUV until the car in front of me moved to the right lane, the unmarked SUV was in the left lane where there is construction. So if the drivers had recognized that he was emergency everyone would have slowed down. I take the interstate often and that is how it happens. So Mr. Campbell is a bad cop. He didn't do his job, yet he felt I needed to be ticketed. So from his words, I didn't slow down 15 miles under the speed limit and when I did move over there was a white line. This sounds subjective, so it is his opinion that I didn't comply with the law. How can a person respond safely on the interstate to a situation when the office didn't do his job. No wonder police are being killed. In my 50 years of living I have never had any officer treat me fair. My mother had her purse stolen a few months ago at Walmart the the officer didn't check on her car, the theif stole her car as she was giving the officer her statement. The police didn't care, he was just getting a report. So what are the police here for? Not much,,,,, I would never trust the police with my freedom, and I hope I never need one since my mother's experience showed me the police could really care less about the public.
