  I had some questions about filing my taxes & called here, I was transferred to a "service center" then was told I would get a call back by 5pm by someone who could answer all my questions (I called at 2pm) and I didn't get a call back until almost 9pm and when I did they hung up as soon as I answered, I called back and was put through to the person who called and they were very rude saying "I would have called earlier but I just couldn't do it" the man sounded like he just did not give a damn about anything. He barely listened to what I had to say. Didn't even give a good excuse as to why he couldn't call me back at the appropriate time. I think he called, and hung up right away just to say he called but couldn't get a hold of me. He probably wasn't expecting me to call back right away. This was my FIRST experience with H&R block and it will be my last.

  I've been using h&r block for years and last year I went and had my taxes prepared like every other year I had all my proper forms ECT. I purchased there peace of mind for $35 which I'm so glad I did. The guy done my taxes which messed them up by not filing one of my most important forms and I got a refund that was $4300 over what I should have received. Well in July I received a letter from the IRS stating I had 30 days to repay $4300 that was over paid to me. So I took the letter to the office where I go and showed them and they looked and said you purchased the POM so it's our mistake and we are responsible for paying this back to the IRS for you. I was satisfied with that and it wasn't a big deal since they were gonna take care of it. Well I received a 1099 form from h&r block so when we went to do our taxes this year the lady who prepared them asked why I received this form saying that she has never seen this before. So I explained the situation and she was mind blown about it. Well after all of mine and my husbands earnings and having to claim the money from h&r block that was over paid to me because of their mistake we did not qualify for the EIC.i don't think this is fair. This was there mistake and I am still waiting for a phone call back from them about this. If we didn't have to claim that $4300 we would have qualified for the EIC for our children. Not happy about this at all.
